How to get the most for your Pixel 8
Compare payout types, not just amounts. Carrier offers are usually bill credits tied to a new phone or plan. Cash and gift-card offers are worth their face value right away.
Grade the condition honestly. Every provider inspects the phone and lowers the offer if it doesn't match the condition you picked.
Prepare the phone. Back up to your Google account, remove the account in Settings > Passwords and accounts, then factory reset from Settings > System > Reset options. Removing the account first turns off Factory Reset Protection.
Trade in sooner rather than later. Trade-in values usually drop when a newer model launches.
